hi, i’m Michael Piantini, a writer/critic from new york. my work has been published in Hyperallergic, Game Developer, New York Review of Architecture, Aesthetica, Game Informer, Filmmaker, LatinaMediaCo, and more. i’ve contributed to the first edition of Dedza Films, programmed and moderated a discussion on Black queer film at Brooklyn College, gave a lecture on  Dominican filmmaker Jean-Louis Jorge at Purchase College, and currently i am the distribution coordinator at New York Review of Architecture. my graduate thesis is titled “The historical complexities within the spectrum of Dominican cinema.” i have a substack where i write about music and other things. let’s chat|
